Tarquin - I don't think it's a good idea to have the child with the same first name as the Dad. This happened in my family on both sides and it was very confusing, the child always ended up being called by a diminutive otherwise nobody knew if you were talking about father or child. When the boys got older (on both sides) they had no privacy because letters came addressed to John Smith and the dads always opened them, they couldn't tell whether the mail was for father or son.
Fine to have Tarquin as a second namen, to carry on the line - IMHO.
The third thing could be that it's a fabulous summer day today and it's Sunday, so we can enjoy it!
congrats on your good news!

Tarquin is an interesting name, I'm sure there won't be two in the same class.

or school.

Could you suggest a good, but different name then Boxtops that goes with Tarquin.

Interesting sar3? Do you mean you don't like the name ?
Question Author
Tarquin Iran Tomlinson was my first option , but the wife is no so keen.
I never thought naming a baby could be so difficult.
Tarquin is a fantastic name. And, if it's a girl then how about Tallulah?
Question Author
Tallulah is a super name Cute Toni but I am banking on a boy.
what does your wife think, Tarquin?
For the sake of the child, I would definitely pass on Tarquin and Iran unless that child is going to be educated at Harrow or Oxford, he would be in serious trouble in most state schools with names like that.
Tarquin it is then. I also like Theodore and Tobias.
but it might be a girl!

Tallulah is indeed a fine name :o)

I'll go and ask her sara3, she is in the kitchen making coffee brb.
I sometimes think that parents don't have any idea of the problems that these bizarre names can cause their children sometimes. these names suggested aren't that bizarre but would still cause problems for most kids, imho :-)
you'd think I'd be allowed to put my feet up, in my condition....... :o/
Names are important for the child's future.
I was interviewed an applicant for a position and his Christian name was Tristram.
I said to him.
"you parents must have been pretty sure that you would have a successful career"
"Why?" he replied.
"Because you get very few labourers called Tristram"....I smilingly replied.
Question Author
Tarquin Tristram, now that does have a certain je ne sais quoi. Thank you squad.
Think about his overall initials while you're at it.
Prudie:

Trotter Independent Traders.....you had in mind?
well technically you only have 1 certainty and that is your wife's pregnancy, the england match could go either way and there is no sign of what could be three yet.
Exactly that sqad!
Ahh Tarquin Iran Tomlinson! LMAO D'OH! its too early for a wind up...
