I've got an ear infection at the mo and I haven't been able to hear much out of it over the past few days. Why does it affect the hearing? When will my hearing return to normal? Started antibiotics yesterday.
P.S I never had an earache, just kept going deaf. Last week the doc said it was wax and prescribed Cerumol drops and yesterday, different doc said def an ear infection as the drum was red and inflamed.

Thanks :)

Doesn´t sound like an ear infection to me.......did the doc syringe out the wax?
Question Author
Ooh god, bloody docs. No, didn't syringe it. The doc I saw yesterday said there wasn't any wax so whether the drops had got rid of it all.
I'll take the tablets for the rest of the week then go back if is hasn't cleared/gone.
So you think it is wax that's caused the prob? Thanks Sqad x
the drops probably took care of the wax, that's what they're for.
