Frequent urinating
31 Answers
Thought i'd get the good folk of AB opinion before i head off to the quack.
For the past week or two, i've been urinating a lot more than normal....i can almost set my watch by it too.
I usually have a wee at 9.00pm then 11pm then 1.30am, then 4am then 7am.
It isn't so "reliable" during the day so haven't really kept track of times.
Few details....urine is normal colour, normal flow, no burning, no blood or cloudiness. I drink up to 2 litres of water a day but i'm a gardener so have a fairly physical job. I'm over weight so diabetes is a possiblility but i have no other symptoms. I like a beer...probably most nights if i'm truthful but not had one this week and urination pattern stays the same.
I've got no pain, no tiredness, no loss of erection...nothing and i'm male and nearly 44.
what do you think ?

I note you are male and in your 40's .
If in addition to what you have said , if the following is also true -
1. Having to get up frequently during the night to urinate
2. When you first feel the need to urinate , you cant resist it , i.e you cant hold it in .
3. Having to urinate more than 8 times in 24 hours , despite not drinking a lot of fluids , especially coffee and tea .
Then I would ask you GP to have a blood test , to check your PVA , in order to see if there is any suggestion of an abnormal prostate
