Can the muscles in dogs ears grow/become stronger over time, my 7 month old Jack Russell cannot control his ears, they are constantly just floppy whereas the other Jack we have has complete control of his ears and therefore you can tell his emotions etc depending on whether his ears are floppy or stood up or whatever.
My GSD pup is five and a half months and is teething - his ears are up one day, down the next, crossed in the middle on others and even out to the side some days. Hopefully they will stay up soon, as he is getting loads of pigs ears and bones to chew, and I have already sent the entry in for his first show in September. Give him lots to chew on, as the muscles in the jaw are connected to the ears. Maybe he will have tipped ears rather than erect, as some JRs do.
i know its late but I made some thing which did the trick for a pup we had
he had pricked ears since we had , him but after all the play fighting he does with his brothers they both had floppy ears, it does look cute, and we dont show our dogs the reason to force them back up is we do take them in the snow climates alot and ppricked ears are better suited agianst frost bite
any one reading this and seing the silly looking post and gluing methods write to here and ill let you know how to do it very cheaply safley and unobtrusivly you will happily walk down the street with them with me little invention / rework of every other idea
