other than being told by the GP that i'm slightly anaemic, everything seems to be going very well. Waiting for further blood test results and hope then to have some iron tablets. This will hopefully sort out the extreme tiredness and constant headache i've been suffering (presumably due to lack of iron). But i'm also feeling very "spaced out" at the moment - like i'm not really sitting here at my desk, not so much light-headed, but as if i've been smoking something i shouldn't have or something......i've also had flashing lights in my eyes a few times in the last couple of days - are both of these linked to the anaemia or do i need to check it out? My blood pressure is normal each time its checked, although i had a silght nosebleed this morning. I'm 36 by the way (which may help explain the extreme tiredness too i suppose!)....

I also had a slight visual disturbance that looked like little dots floating in the air in front of me; I was told at the time that this is also a symptom associated with aneamia.
If in doubt get yourself checked out though, especially if you feel very faint. Good luck with the iron tablets - I couldn't keep them down and had to stop taking them. In the end I just ate lots of iron-rich food (watercress, apricots, prunes, pumpkin seeds, red meat, green veg, eggs...). I've heard that its more effective if you drink orange juice with these foods as the vitamin C helps you to absorb the iron (anyone know if this is true?)

Beaver, migraine comes in phases, my GP described it to me very well - and you can have any of the phases without the headache and it's still a migraine. I used to get them a lot, visual disturbance, the lot, and it left me feeling very spaced out. If I were you I would go and have a chat with your GP.
Yeap sounds to me like migraine as well, but it could also be a sign that your not drinking enough water, avoid iron tablets if you can & do as DaisyD said eat more iron-rich food! Vit-C will help your body absorb it more but caffiene will cancel it out, so the rule is after food eat an orange or drink a glass of juice instead of a cup of tea or coffee.
