i was diagnosed with meckles diverticulum (not sure of spelling) in 1998 everything calmed down since 2000/2002 i have had lost large amounts of blood/clots  when i go 2 the toilet has anyone else had this problem? every time i go 2 the docs that just are not interested i am constantly tired and have no energy  i thought it was piles but after a 6month stint of using creams it doesnt help can any1 help or does any1 kinow any websites where i can get info as i am too scared to go to docs     thx in advance

I think you need to insist that your Doctor refers you to a specialist. They won't do anything to help unless you insist upon this. You may need surgery to help your problem, but this would at least be better than doing nothing.

As someone who works in the Op Theatre I can only agree with Scarlett.  That's not to say that you require surgery(there are all sorts of options before you need to go down that road) however where bowels are concerned you don't want to exacerbate any problem as a result of inaction.

Go to your GP at the earliest opportunity.

go to    http://brain.hastypastry.net/forum  when you open the web site page go to the top right hand corner and type in meckles diverticulum and search and the page will open to lots of sites and people that can help you..its a site run by experts and they are better equiped to help you ..i know what doctors are like as i have something seriouse wrong with me and the doctor constantly sits their either grinning or looking in his book to see what he can do next ..if you are armed with information which you can print off this site and new things to try then the doctor may take notice..hope you find what you need their its a marvelouse web site with every illness all run by experts and input of people suffering..

If you are losing lots of blood then it should be treated seriously. It sounds as though your doctor isn't very sympathetic or helpful. Would you consider changing him/her? I think it's important that you get this sorted out.
