shampoo

My hairdresser friend told me years ago that shampoo is basically a detergant and it didn't matter what you used, even fairy liquid, you'd get the same result. It was the conditioner that made the difference . Yesterday's Daily Mail agreed with the shampoo part, but what about the conditioner?

When I was a kid with a saturday job at a hairdressers the owner always told me expensive shampoo is a con. You are better off buying cheap own brand as they don't put expensive, pointless ingredients in. I am not entirely sure about conditioner but I believe one of the many ingredients is basically plastic, which is why your hair looks smooth and shiny. I am yet to believe anything really does your hair any good, all the hair you can see on your head is dead hair. You can't fix something that is dead.
I've just started using Liz Earle's new range of shampoo and conditioner. I can never normally use any type of conditioner, as my hair is very straight and conditoner just makes it drop and lank.
Am using the Shampoo for Normal hair plus conditioner - it leaves my hair feeling great and squeaky clean. Here is the link

I use any old shampoo and Frizzease .
I got Timotei today in Morrisons :Three bottlles for two quid :)
They reckon we shampoo too much and should ideally just rinse our hair everyday as daily washing strips the natural oils and shampoo it less often .
I don't fancy that as I look as if I've had a fright of a morning and need to wash mine every day .
Who are these people who get up and just brush their hair and it looks fab :)

I usually buy whatever shampoo is on offer in Boots, though i usually steer clear of Head & Shoudlers as my hairdresser told me it's especially bad for coloured hair. I like to use Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstructor for when my ends get dry, and as my hair's dyed red, and red fades terribly i often clean my hair with Batiste in between proper washes.
