letting yourself go for a few days...
56 Answers
if you dont have to leave the house or see anyone for a few days and intend not to...do you let yourself go for a few days?, ie, not washing, letting your hair go greasy, not shaving, wearing your pjs all day, no makeup, no deoderant... just letting your body just 'do its own thing'
if so do you think its good for your body to do this occasionally?
to let it do what 'it wants', away from products, detergents, hot water stripping oils, coating your skin in makeup, spraying on aerosols etc etc
just curious
thanks

No...for me it would be sign I was becoming depressed...always bath/shower or at worse a good wash and comb hair and wear day clothes ....however do leave hair washing now and again as it seems to help the condition not sure why
Also when know I won't be disturbed likely to do pjs straight after evening meal and an early bath. I think it comes from growing up in a house where if you wanted to wash you had to boil a kettle for hot water and a bath was something we had at my aunts place once every couple of weeks so being clean is something I really appreciate.

Right, I have to admit that yes I do have veggie days and love t hem. I wash the important bits and can't bear to have dirty teeth, but apart from that I could happily be the 'woman in the dressing gown'.
I can never get up and get showered and dressed very quickly anyway. It takes multiple cups of tea to get me going.
Like ummmm I just don't open the door - not that I get that many people knocking on my door where I live - no-one just passes by here!!!
I have no shame whatsoever in 'slobbing out'. I love it.

But joko there are a whole host of skin friendly non perfumed products out there.
Washing gives us a mental and physical boost.
Nothing wrong with all you that want to "veg out' but why not have a wash before you don the baggy t-shirts and tracksuit bottoms? You would then be able to relax and feel clean and confident at the same time.

I love the weekends for this reason. Unless I have plans I will get out of bed, put on my joggers, my ugg like slippers and my dressing gown and slouch around for most the day. I do fit in time to brush my teeth and if I feel a bit greasy I will shower but will put all that clobber back on after. I couldn't give a monkeys if someone comes round - my house, my rules.
