Stop use of insulin

I read yesterday that Halle berry was able to stop taking insulin for her diabetes by exercising every day. Can this be true?

I have been on insulin 25 years but after tablet and diet control failed for H he is for 5 years now an ID.
We have 3 children (all Adults) and the medical proffesion has told us it is a 70% chance one or all will be a diabetic.(Not so at the moment)

These days e&r there is not much you can find that hasn't got sugar in it somewhere even down to the natural foods like fruit and veg. A tin of whatever on the supermarket shelf if you look (& you probably have if your son is a D) have added sugar, a lot of diet stuff too is low in FAT but still has sugar.
I just have to make allowences, be carefull, think before I eat and allow myself a cheat sometimes. We find people find it difficult to ask us over for a meal too.
What a blessing it will be when some bright spark comes up with a cure, the whole world will celebrate.

Mr M has been type 2 for 25+ years, he has a normal lifestyle, eats well ( anything in moderation) and has his injection after eating. We thought he'd been given a death sentance when he was dianosed but through using a bit of common sense he's been absolutely fine. Wouldn't want him to stop his insulin though...
