I've been going to the gym 3 times a week for 3 months and I've been really proud of myself, as I'd toned up and lost half a stone.

Now, because of the weather and other factors, I've not been to the gym for about 2 weeks and now a feel all frumpy and bloated. I am finding it difficult to get my bum in gear and go back. I feel like I have to start from scratch again.

Any words of inspiration that will get me in gear.

Thank you and merry christmas

Tesco have 2 for 1 jumbo boxes of mince pies and brandy butter on sale at the moment :-)
think of the money you are paying
look at some old pictures or remember when you felt bad about your appearance, wrap up warm and get down there, bring some motivational music.
There are lots of exercises you can do without equipment and at home. Press ups, sit ups, burpees, stairs for step ups etc.

thanks. I have so far got got dressed with my gym gear on. Slight progress made, but am dreading going to the gym.
I believe that there's something called an endorphin high. Once you get there and start working you'll feel great.

That's my problem. I don't feel energised at all. I think it's with this dull weather. As when it's sunny I am always full of the joys of spring - as the saying goes.

Thanks Pinkllady. I am going to make myself an espresso coffee, then be on my way. xx

I will send you a photo of me that you can stick on your fridge. Each time that you get the munchies look at it and you will see what happens when you don't diet or exercise.

I am probably twice your size (and twice your age) and now diabetic. Stick it out - get a dog - try a sport.

Good luck.
