Unable to remove bangle
44 Answers
In 2006 I bought a jade bangle. It was forced on to my wrist and now I would like to take it off. Short of breaking the bangle how can I get it off? I have tried using hand cream, soap, and putting my hand in ice water. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would like to get it off after four years.

your local Fire station may know - they are good at getting folk out of tight jams....

Don't know whether it would work with a bangle, but a nurse managed to get a ring off my finger with a piece of thread. The ring was whizzing round my finger the night before the op, then on the morning it WOULD NOT come off. I tried soap, hand cream, cold water, all to no avail with the finger swelling up with each attempt. In theatre, the nurse took one look at mny finger and got out her piece of thread, wound it round the ring and somehow twisted it off. Do you know any nurses?
Well finally success. While in Christchurch I went to seed my friendly canterbury fireman. I put my hand in a bag of ice for abut 30 minutes then he put cokking oil in my hand. Then the bangle went down to the point where it always got stuck then he wiggled the bones in my hand and gave a huge push down and off came the bangle. I had a huge bruise across the top of my hand and around my thumb but the bangle was off in one piece. Canturbury firemen you rock.
