My parents have gone out and are syaing that tidying my room is more important than homework and that it has to be done first but I haven't got time to do both. Plus it's my friends birthday dinner tonight and if i don't have my room done then i can't go to her party.

I'm 17 and they're treating me like a 7 year old. I'm doing 4 hard a-levels and they just don't seem to care that i have soo much work to do, then it'll be them that has a go at me when I fail, because i haven't done enough work, and they'll make me pay for the resits and I don't get EMA, I don't get pocket money and I have too much work to do, to get a job.

What can I do, dad was V angry when he left.

Your room must be really filthy then, Molls....
so you are going to spend the next hour on here yeah butting about what is more important? technically you would then be getting nothing done

unless your room is a complete mess it should not take you more than 15 mins to clean it up. rather than wasting that time arguing on here, log off, go and clean your room then get started on your H/W
And I agree with your parents - room not clean then no attending the party tonight.
Cazzz, Molly loves us more than cleaning her room. :-)

Never mind molls - at least it is just your room this time ☺
she could have cleaned it this morning when she was asking about someone elses problems.

lol society, lets see how long this post strings out to..
Get your room clean even if it takes 2 hours and dont spend time here. You will save time down the line for work and other tasks/enjoyment time with being able to find things easily.

And then apologise to your Father, say he was right and smile sweetly.

Your note did purvey the tantrum of a 12 or 13 year old, not a young lady approaching University age.

I can walk around my bed easily, there aren't dirty clothes anyway or plates etc with mouldy food on, I can find things easily. Most of the mess is from all my college folders and books in piles.
get tidying then molly..

I'm not on the computer. I'm in my room ATM (on the internet on my psp) sorting out the section of my wardrobe that has their stuff in it!!!! i'm clearing it out and bunging it in their room, and putting all the stuff that hasn't got a place in that bit of the wardrobe.
Go tidy, molly. You live in your parents' house, like it or not.

I wish I didn't. I am tidying, between posts.
The mysterious parallel universe that is teenage reality. I remember it well and I'm currently doing a refresher with two of my own.
Put your bottom lip away and tidy your room then make the olds a cup of tea and get on with your life.

:) (I think)
put your psp away and get busy, you are not going to get anything done by constantly posting replies on here.

"I wish I didn't."

What, wish you didn't live in your parent's house?

Heck, that's an easy fix.
You are doing homework, tidying your room and posting on here at the same time - you are great at multi-tasking Molls.
I agree with Pixi. If you don't like tidying then don't make a mess.
