Earlier today I noticed that my rings were quite loose but now I have had trouble taking one of them off - why have my fingers suddenly become fatter?

Yes ..I know all about sausage fingers :) Take yourself to the doctor if you get this a lot .Could be the onset of some sort of arthritic thing or carpal tumnnel sydrome .Do you have general problems like finding it difficult to peel spuds etc, pain in your wrist ?

I sometimes get bad wrists (when it is damp) - oh god, I'm getting old!!! I've got the bloody ring back on now.
Poor lass . I could be carpal tunnel in view of sore wrists .Go to the doctor !!

I don't really do the doctors - my leg would have to be hanging off by a thread for me to go. Last time I went for myself I felt so poorly I was crying! Last time I went for one of the children I had to take them all with me and the cow bag asked me if I heard of the morning after pill (obviously implying that I had too many children). I went after the two youngest were born and they were looking at my symptoms on Wikipedia! Thought I had kawasaki's disease (only young, Japanese girls get it!). Thanks for your advice though.
well there we are, too much salt in you - My Millie used to react like this to salt in her diet..........you will be ok tomorrow. In fact, I only use salt on potatoes and some veg now, there's enough in most foods, especially pre-prepared ones. I use a little more if I am in a hot clime.....and sea salt at all times re the iodine (hypothyroidism in the family)
Question Author
I very rarely eat anything salty (apart from bacon) and don't add extra salt to my food and put very little in food (because of the kids). Your salt answer is very interesting and I will try to remember if it happens the next time I have bacon (memory like a sieve though). Thanks
get a good quality one from your local farmer's market or an old fashioned butcher.....they taste better and are usually lower on the salt content than supermarket steroid, and salted, varieties.... Just go around and buy a little bit for tatsing before you settle on a preferred supplier.

I am signing off now - so Night.
