I never used a moisturiser or any other cream on my face until 2-3 years ago. I had very oily skin-so avoided anything as they all made it feel greasy. I have my bus pass-but my skin is still wrinkle free except for a few around my eyes. I don't count laughter/frown/sun-in-your-eyes lines though....they will come no matter what you use.
Whilst we're on the subject of skin care, I give my husband a facial nearly every week, not that he liked it at first, but now looks forward to it!
I use Simple facemask for two minutes, then Simple toner, then Aldi serum, then Oil of Olay moisteriser. His skin looks really good & hydrated after.
I've been cutting his hair & trimming his moustache for years too - he doesn't have any stray ear hairs or eyebrows, 'cos I soon whizz or pluck them out, lol!
Agreed jd......and I think young women today are far more concerned with ageing than their mothers may have been. There is a lot of emphasis on 'beating the clock' with creams rather than avoiding the lifestyle things which cause wrinkles.
I would have to knock Mr LL out and tie him up to give him a facial Smudge. I have always cut his hair though. Mr LL's skin care regime consists of water and shower gel.
A good walk in the fresh air does more to make your skin glow and look good than all the beauty products in the world. (with SP factor cream of course!!).
Not to generalise but people my age (mostly the females) just think that there will be some miracle lotion or botox etc... and they can sort it out as they get older, then continue to binge drink, use drugs and do all the things we are warned not to. I lived it up for many years but now starting to realise you only get body, look after it!
Wow, lots of answers since I was forced against my will to do some work.
I have learnt a numer of things from this;
1) Aldi seems to be the best place to get skin cream (just need to find one around hre now).
2) My smoking is probably doing my skin no good at all. Although I feel slightly less guilty as I've only used a sunbed once and I don't drink much.
3) It doesn't appear to matter how old I am, I'm still going to get bloody spots!
4) JD is a metro-sexual. :o)
Aldi Moisturiser and skin serum is the best thing since sliced bread .I'm another lucky oily skinned person . Lines ,yes but wrinkles no and I too have a bus pass.
