Personally and generally speaking I do think that woman mature more quickly than men, mainly because childbirth and the role that they play as a mother........that certainly brings instant maturity.........in most women.

The question is.......is maturity beneficial or not?

I have to speak personally here and say that the day that I lose my immaturity is the day that I start to die.

A lot of women become too serious.....and you'll see a lot of eye-rolling when their men are behaving like kids. But everyone needs to be like a kid once in a while.

some do .....it varies ...I have met some emotionally/psychologically mature men... and some extremely immature women you know the sort can't deal with responsibility/ their problems, waiting for a prince charming to rescue them... but I agree with Vibes to some extent but it is possible to confuse the ability to take things eriously with maturity.

I believe a mature individual understands and values things such as playfulness as well as being able to talk about 'feelings' for example.

As cavemen men would often fight to the death for a mate so a male who appered immature was not a threat and was left alone. A female would have to help with children from an ealy age and so it was beneficial for the genetic line when the female matured quicker. So males that matured later had an advantage and females that matured ealier had an advantage so that trait was bred into us from a long time ago.
