best product for my short hair
28 Answers
When/ if i do get my short, curly bob, I don't want the hairdressers to rip me off, trying to get me to buy the most expensive products they have.
Can anyone recommend a kind of gel etc, I could use in the morning if i haven't had time to have a shower and do it properly? I don't want it to be a frizzy mess! That's a reasonable price?

can you do styles like this with it? http://www.google.co....:33,s:443&tx=65&ty=81 or http://www.google.co....:395&biw=1899&bih=791
never heard of dax wax but I have long wavy hair which is frizzy I can't brush it when dry only when wet, so I wash my hair everyday, brush it and I put just a small amount and hair wax in my hands rub my hands together then transfer through the hair focussing on the ends esp and not the top scalp section. This keeps the locks from going frizzy, and makes the locks set in place for the day.
Just been to look what I use and its 'wella shock waves re-create styling wax' I have used it for 10 years at least and it last for ages. I bought a cheap hair wax once for £1 and it smelt horrible and had a terrible texture. This applies nicely. I bought the wrong one recently by mistake not wanting to open the lid in the shop, but you have to to make sure, you want the thick hard wax, not gel, not clay, it's solid and you have to almost scratch the surface at times to get some out

I use John Frieda FrizzEase -it may seem expensive but you really just need a a miniscule amount so it last for ages plus doenst leave your 'clangy'.I tend to just use the spritzer.
I also use Schwarzkopf Kids Supersoft Detangling Spary -spray on dry hair between washes (I cant wash my hair everday just because of the type I have -it just dries out and goes frizzy -would you believe !!)
Both from Tesco.

if you don't want to wash every morning but you don't want it to frizz I personally in that instance would put my hands under the tap and put hands through hair to get hair damp, DON'T BRUSH at all, any knots just get out with your hands and then apply the wax like I said, apply little bit of wax first see how it feels add more if you think.
If you put a lot of wax in the hair the day before or the night before you often might get away with just dampening the hair because some wax residue will have remained.

Your hair won't go like either of those styles if you get it cut short and it's very curly. The women in those pictures have thin hair, curly hair tends to be thick and unruly. You'll be lucky to not end up looking a frizzy mess... Sorry to break it to you but as I said yesterday, even my hair which is more wavy than curly needs a bit of length to it to keep it under control and short hair doesn't give that to you... Unfortunately this was learnt the hard way last year.
interesting what you say china yes, I have in the past warned people with frizzy hair going the bob route, I think we all think it would be a nice change, but nooooooo
I was at high school could you believe it when it was cut as a bob because the weight was no longer there to pull the hair down on the sides it just 'pinged' up to the sky, instead of the bob sides being by my ears they were the same height as the parting of my hair = my hair was flat on top instead of this /'o'\ it was \'o'/
