Sqad - re my blood glucose levels....
6 Answers
Dear Sqad - clinical thoughts please:
I had a blood test last week re cholesterol and they tested plasma glucose levels too, fasting blood test in the morning. It's come back as 6.7 which (according to which website you look at) is either outside an anticipated range, or it's OK. I've to see the nurse at the Diabetic clinic next month. No diabetes in the family - what do you think?

The nurse was concerned when she did a non-fasting test after Christmas (the cholesterol is going the right way btw, although the arms still hurt a bit) so she sent me for another PGL. I'll go along and see her next month, but I do need to sort out a better diet - I know that.
boxy, my fasting blood glucose was 6.4 in october which is a little outside the range, possibly pre-diabetes. the doctor told me it's in my own hands, lose weight, watch my diet, take more exercise.
diet started in january, trying very hard to keep away from refined sugar one way or another, only eating all things wholemeal (pasta, rice, bread) and now the weather has improved have started serious walking again.
best of luck with it :o)
