I know loads of people who swear by it but I haven't noticed it being any better than any other multivitamin - and be warned... I stopped taking it last year because it kept triggering cystitis, probably because it seems quite 'acid'.
Didn`t Berocca start off as a vitamin C supplement? They always have them in the mini bars in Australian hotels which makes me laugh. They obviously think that after a night in Sydney you need a Berocca for the hangover (which is what they were originally marketed for).
Know the feeling! I'm convinced Multibionta (multi vits with probiotics) make me feel better. They're expensive so maybe it's just psycholgy but they're worth a shot - my skin is always clearer when I remember to take them.
I'm prone to catching colds and every now and then flu, however, one year I started taking multivitamins and I didn't get ill once throughout it. Must have done something to boost my immune system.
Well it can't have done any harm tigger! I eat an Activia every day - I didn't have stomach problems before and I don't have them now so that's proved nothing LOL
I take Boots own version of Berroca. ......usually when I'm at work-on my feet-and feeling less than alert. It seems to help.
Anyway-it can't hurt. The level of vitamins is not all that high.
As long as you have a fairly balanced diet (plenty of vegetables) you won't need multivits. That's probably why you don't notice much difference when you take them. However, echinacea works for me. It boosts the immune system - I haven't had a cold in years, and I used to pick up anything that was going around. It's a slow build-up though and you'll have to take them for a couple of months before it kicks in.
Boosts your sex-drive too! :)
I take one every day - I have a baby and work full time and tend to go into a 'slump' during the afternoon - they do help put a spring in my step and i would recommend them to anyone !
