Yes, certainly. Sometimes it's good just to be able to talk about it. The GP might be able to offer some short-term medication to help you sleep, or suggest some counselling just to help you get through this difficult patch. You sound run down and in low spirits - I would certainly make an appointment to see your doc or nurse practitioner at the surgery. Hope you feel better soon.
you know you should visit gp tinker.. dont you ?
I was going to say exactly what boxy said. Good idea tinks. Hope you feel better soon. xx
Boxtops is so right!........see your GP, it will help you!..............you sound really tired and stressed!..........see your GP ASAP!.......hope you feel better soon!..........x
Every point, tink. Make an appointment first thing tomorrow and you will have taken the first step to getting yourself back on track. Don't put it off, you will feel better for it. You cannot mess up your studies now :o) ♥

Thanks!! Yeah i should pop in and see my GP but ill request the one i like...theres one woman whos really dismissve she makes me feel quite daft! Surley theyll understand im having a tough time!!

A wee something to help me dropp off every now and again wouldnt go amiss...im dragging myself into class in the morning and i struggle to sit there and pay attention cos im so tired and exhausted...ever had that horrible heavy arms and hands feeling...i cant sit still on the chair lol its terrible, as u say bit run down...goin to take a wee tonic i think....mornings and bedtime i feel really "sniffily" thanks guys xxx
If I may sound a bit homoeopathic first please, strange as it may sound, perhaps just simple warm milk, or warm milk with some vanilla extract and sugar (not vanilla essence!). It has been proven that the enzymes activated from warm milk are a natural sedative.

Whilst I'm proud as punch of our health system, I do question many of our doctors. I'm afraid your GP might be one of those types who simply dispenses a tablet for your problem. Not good!

But the best advice I can offer is, you're young, healthy, and just going through the simple cadence of living. In other words : "this too shall pass."

Hot cocoa has the same principles but appears to act as a stimulant for many.

Best of luck and stay healthy!

Thanks all....ever get a bit teary at kind words...thats me now....i usually dont get stressed like this...but im working on diploma and degree work all at once by april...whoever allowed that in the uni needs SHOT!!!

have some Mary Poppins milk before bed tink!.........a glass of warm milk with a tespoon of Vanilla essence added!..........W
Believe me, tink, a wee something to make you drop off is not the answer. I take them now, quite strong ones, plus cognac and I only get cat naps in through the night. I know just how you feel, but you are too young to be suffering like this. Pick the nicest doctor at your surgery and see him/her soonest. That is an order ♥
sorry tink, pressed the submit early!.........have some Mary Poppins milk, it will help to relax you!..........works for my lot!..........
If the Doc won't give you anything try nightall or kalms.

You are all (*) stars xx
tinks...you sound like me. i'm a nurse and undergoing similar. hanging on by my fingernails! def see gp and do take medicine prescribed. then check if homeopathic is ok to use. good luck and share if you are really struggling x
Tinks, do see the GP. The other solutions are good ones, but whether or not they work for you, and whether you don't like taking meds, there are times when it's sensible to do so, for your own health and wellbeing. Placement is hard work on top of everything else you are going through. Get through the next ten weeks with a bit of help from the medics!
Well done Tink - I'm proud of you! Be true to yourself. I will share ...and I know this is a bit 'out there' but if you're holistic, you may wish to consider a colonic as well. As a temporary regime whilst you're in a stressful position, this will help to keep you clear of ad bacteria. Compliment this in the mornings with a bit Yakult, or similar. I work with victims of trafficking in Eastern Europe and the Russian medical systerm endorses this as a must! But we're British, of course, and to even think of things such as this sends us all running!

I wish you every success in your endeavours!
