if you agreed to meet someone in their lunch hour that you hadnt seen for six months and they had extended their lunch for 1 1/2 hrs, would you expect to be eating lunch together if you knew you were going to a pub for example?

im just wanting an answer to the question for now, wanting to know what you would expect thinking you were going to have lunch. i will reveal all when i get a consensus of opinion mollykins.
yes, meeting for lunch means just that.
I would say lunch. It always seems to take 1.5 hours to eat a nice meal.
If I was meeting someone for lunch then I would expect food to be involved somwhere along the line.

But I reckon that you met someone at lunchtime and they didn't want to eat so now you're peeved.
yes, if taking time off work etc and meeting in my lunch hour then i would need to eat lunch in that time

I reckon they had a room booked and didn't expect to have lunch....
i still dont get it ?
I've done this and yes, I expected to eat lunch.
I'd be mortified if someone said "lets meet for lunch" and then we dont actually quaff anything. Infact, i might have to resort to eating them.
Perfectly acceptable way forwards Boobies, I'd feel much the same.
If it was a friend or acquaintance from the past I would expect to eat lunch. If it was an ex-lover then I might wonder if they wanted go elswhere (if you know what I mean).
Yes I would
Yes of course, even if it was a bar snack, if someone suggested meeting in a pub then I would ask if to be sure that it was one where I could get something to eat (even if they didn't want some)
Yes, I would expect food to be involved.

On one occasion I did meet someone for lunch who I hadn't seen in a while and whilst I was expecting to go somewhere for food they decided that they needed to do some shopping. I was quite miffed! And left feeling rather hungry.
