If you really liked someone and were texting and hanging out and getting on really well and then found out that your friend liked them too, what would you do?
Would you take a step back to prevent you friend getting hurt/jealous etc or would you still go ahead with the person you like?

In a similar situation and would appreciate some advice.
Thanks everyone :)

I think I know what you're saying :)

How old are you lot? My lot (the crew) range between 17-19, sounds a bigger age range than it actually is. When birthdays are taken into account, the 19 years old is about 4 months older than the 18 year old and so on and so forth.

thats the thing that's infuriating me alba, we're all 26/27, It's so bloody stupid, just think he should stand up to his mate rather than worrying about him
Question Author
Thanks Rowan, I hope so ;)
I reckon if he was really interested in you then his friend's feelings wouldn't be in the equation....since his friend's feelings are in the equation......
I think rowan is correct about this one.

At 26/27 they sound too immature to be bothered about. You might like him a lot suezy, but when the right one comes along you'll know.

Let them carry on playing with their lego...

get ya woofgang, agree with you..he needs to grow up, it's all very noble worrying about your friends but sometimes ya need to back off and live your own life
To quote Harry Hill............Fight!

Hope it works out the way you want it to suezy
It's sometimes a kind of 'code of honour' thing with guys Suezy. I've known men a good bit older than that walk away from what could be great relationships because it would hurt their friends. I think you sit him down and have a long talk, if he is determined that you're out of bounds then you need to accept that and move on. Sorry x
I really liked someone and my mate didnt tell me she liked him too, they got together and then I found out, I was gutted she hadnt said but years down line she's not with him after he got on drugs and beat her so I had a lucky escape. So if I were you just carry on as you were, he hasnt got a tag on him saying he belongs to your mate, she is perfectly happy liking him and not being worrie about you, at end of day really its the blokes choice who he gets with, it will all happen the way it does for a reason. x
Hi suezy, I have to say I agree with what alba has said good advice!
If it was me, if a guy knocked me back because his friend liked me then he obviously isn't 'the one' as you would be more important. You ahev said all you need to and the ball is in his court so to speak. Think of yourself first and don't waste time with people who sound, honestly at 26/27 quite immature.
You have time, I made plenty of mistakes, including my son's dad, until I found 'the one' at the age of 30+.
