A friend of mine wants to leave her husband. She doesn't love him and the relationship is not worth saving. Her husband doesn't know this yet but my friend really need someone to talk to and get advice from regarding the split. She needs to get everything in place so she doesn't become homeless (she has a 10 year old daughter) and to ensure she has enough money to get by.

Someone has suggested that she should go to relate....alone, and they can give her the advice on breaking up, her daughter etc etc.

Any suggestions or alternative advice.

Many thanks

I think Relate is a good suggestion - and she can certainly go alone. They will then direct her towards any other organisations who can help and advise.
Relate sounds like a very good idea, they advise on all sorts of things these days. Suggest that she gives them a ring and gets an appointment to go and see them. She'll also need to see a solicitor at some point.
she could also try the Citizens Advice
