How young is too young?

Don't panic I'm not a pedo.
I've just met this girl and we're getting on really well. I really like her and she seems to be really into me as well. My worry is that shes 9 years younger than me. I'm going to be 30 next year and she still gets ID'd going into bars.

Is this worth pursuing or is the age gap just too big to make things work?

My ex is with a girl 9 years younger and has been since she was 21 (she's now 30). It doesn't seem to have been a problem for them. My husband is 15 years older than me although we were both older when we got together - but again, no problems. Age is just a number, if you are on the same wavelength it can work regardless of physical age. You could be the exact same age but not be the same mental age and it wouldn't work.

If it feels right then go for it. My sister was with a fella 17 years older than her for about 10 years and that seemed to be all right. Do not worry that she is still getting IDed. This is sometimes meant as a compliment.

I had a friend who started going out with a 30 year old man when she was 20 years old. Her parents were not so pleased at first. but eventually they got married and had three children, a lovely couple and a happy marriage. It's
not as though she is a schoolgirl, geek. As long as you both feel happy try to forget the age thing.

If she's 21 she's old enough to know her own mind. When I was 23 I went out with a bloke in his mid-thirties for a while. It was fine.

The old formula was half your age plus seven so she's only a year too young ! My parents had a 10 year age gap and my gf is 15 years my junior.

at 21 women are more mature then men.So that narrows the gap;-) My sister is the exception to the rule and married a chap 15years younger than her, they have just celebrated 24years of marriage. She's perfers her men imature.

My mother was eight years younger than my father, my mother-in-law was fourteen years OLDER than my father-in-law. They didn't even think about it. My husband was three months younger than me but we lasted for 63 years. All gone now, unfortunately, but I see no reason to let a few years or in my case a few months, get in the way.

I met my wife when she was just sweet 16 at a local dance, and I was 30 but we both fell helplessly in love and have been very happily married in October for 45 wonderful years to-gether. So all the best wishes in the world to you both. My tip for a long marriage `Never forget to tell her you love her, and always take the blame for her mistakes.
