Ok, helpful answers only please? I know for a fact that my OH has been lying to me about something (no, not a woman!) but I've found out myself by looking at something I shouldn't have. So how can I broach the subject without looking a hypocrite??

Yes he earns waaay more than me. Maybe in his head that justifies him being able to do what he likes with it?Like I said, its the secrecy and the lying thats the hurtful bit.

Are you married to this man? After reading your post in 'relationships and dating' it either sounds as though he is an inconsiderate 'person 'who has no thoughts for others, or he is taking you for some kind of idiot for putting up with all his 'goings on'. Staying out, not apologising,secrecy over his money, something just doesn't add up. Needs sorting....and FAST.

Hi mumsie wumsie, yes we are married. He has changed a lot lately and I just dont know why. He has always been a bit secretive but never on this scale. I just guess I posted this Q to get other peole's opinions before I confronted him and made a total idiot of myself.

Whether you should or shouldnt have opened the envelope is now irrelevant.................... we can deal with that later................ either he is puutng money in or someone else is.........either way regardless of how you found out, there IS a problem.

Being noble, one could argue that you could take the document to him and say WE have a problem, your daughter is receiving money that is not hers, and how are WE going to deal with this.

or he is giving her money for reasons he does not want to explain to you.....

If there is nothing to hide, there is no reason for him to not explain...............
