Where Did You Go For Your Honeymoon?

I guess that honeymoon destinations have changed over the years & people now fly to rather more exotic places than in the past.

Where did you go & when?

I will start the ball rolling.....

We took the bus from Ibiza to England, and back again with one sister and one male friend sharing the cabin on the Barcelona boat.

We went on a school trip to the South of France with 40+ teenagers, went by coach (24 hour journey), the kids played the Bodyguard continuously on the journey and we stayed in a youth hostel type thing. One of the kids got bitten by a dog in a service station in France on the way back so they all went a bit barmy winding themselves up that he had caught rabies and they would all get infected.

Didn't have one... Married on the Saturday back at work on the Monday and a baby came along 5 months later... didn't have an engagement or wedding ring either... Obviously nabbed a charmer!!!

Train to Glasgow, stayed in the station hotel for a night. Moved to Lanark for a couple of days then back home for work. Sooooooo romantic!

We traveled a massive 5 miles to a hotel in Southampton for three nights. We were supposed to bag ourselves a last minute deal abroad, but hubby ended up ill and in hospital instead!

Never had one, as we've never bothered getting married,but we've had a lot of great holidays to places near and far, so do they count.

oh lawdy, maggie, I thought a fishing honeymoon was bad, but the Central Station Hotel!!!
Dunno what it's called now, I know it changed to Quality Hotel which I chortled at for ages.
