In my single days, I would make it perfectly clear to a man if it was OK to get touchy feely with me.

But someone making sleezy moves with no encouragement from me would not be well received.

A drunken fool once thought it was OK to come up behind me in a pub and lick my neck.

I guess the result of the Eastleigh by election shows that the public don't think that a bit of knee touching is that big a deal.

I do not think the results of a single, hotly-contested by election in a time of austerity is a particularly good, accurate or reliable barometer as to public opinion regarding a man placing an unasked-for hand on a womans knee.

Were you to use that result to conclude that women do not really object to a bit of strange offering some unsolicited knee groping, you might find yourself rather more familiar with that knee than you might like,,,,
