Insecurities

So I wanted to participate in school more and make more friends by deciding to tryout for a sport. The tryouts are in less than 24 hours and I’m extremely nervous. I’m even contemplating whether or not I should just stay home or go to tryouts.
The sport I am trying out for is basketball. I am an ideal height, but I’m not very experienced with the sport.
I also have scars/marks on my legs, and if I make it on the team, I don’t want those to show! What should I do!? Any advice?

so please do not let yourself dwell on those or torment yourself by imagining what other people might be thinking.
try out for basketball. even if you don't make the team, you will have taken a step forward, and that is important for your sense of achievement.
Good luck. Things will not always be so difficult. It does get easier as you get older.
