What can i do?
4 Answers
I have a lovely, lovely friend who is always cheerful, helpful, honest etc etc. The only thing is she has no self esteem (she is 23). She has loads of friends, but when it comes to men, she is so naive. I think they just use her for sex. I have tried telling her this, but she just bites my head off..........what can i do? I don't want her to keep getting hurt and think the only way someone will like her is if she sleeps with them.......Also I would hate for her to get a reputation..........or even worse a disease.................any suggestions of how I can tactfully approach the problem. She is not 'cheap' or 'tarty' just has low self esteem.

It broke my heart but she had to make her own mistakes. You friend will realise sooner or later.
You sound like a very good friend, just be there for her and try to boost her confidence as much as you can. X

why not encourage her to do really well in something completely unrelated to boys (e.g. sponsored sky dive??). that way she will learn to value herself and boost her self esteem. once she recognises her worth in one area of her life, this should pour over to all areas and she should stop abusing herself.
