Yes it is for sure I think. I think we assume (wrongly) that all men are brimming with self confidence.

Maybe they do it to see if you are a jealous type too.

The way you have said it happened it sounds more like a slip of the tounge than trying to make you jealous,as you say he quickly changed the subject,which says to me he regretted saying it,if he keeps on mentioning her that is different but I really think this one was an accident, Ray

Hmmm, i think your overreacting sallycroc. The fact that he changed the convo quickly, shows he respects you. Maybe you were talking about his past at the time. Actually though sallycroc, its normal to feel jealous of ex's. Are you feeling this way because he never does the things with you, which he did with his ex?

He probably didn't think and then suddenly realised it might be an issue, so changed the subject. Me and my bf talk openly about past relationships. It doesn't make me feel jealous, actually the opposite because I can tell he's completely over them and has no issues with the past in himself.
