You who know me on here, know I my relationship broke up last year (yawn) and thanks to all who listened (bez, sleepy) especially.

But the way the relationship ended, has dented my self esteem. He moved away for a big salary. And brand new car. After being together for nearly 4 years. (says a lot about me huh!) lol

But I am now well over him. But am finding it hard to move on and wanting to meet anyone else. I cant be bothered to try even.

Online dating doesnt really appeal to me.

I sort of want to be with someone, but to be honest, am scared of getting hurt all over again.

p.s. had a couple of glasses of wine, if not I would not of posted this lol

I know what it is like...it is real
Dont think its so much sex obsessed just more liberal and equal.

Romance comes later -even H and I got to the romantic stage for a wee while -when we were taking a breather -lol

Pasta, I think we both know how it feels, though don't know what you have been through.

But from my personal experience. I have been hurt badly. And from what you have posted, would guess you have been too.

It sucks xx
will pm you tommorow pet....when i am sober!! hope i rememer xx
And guys get hurt too.It does annoy me sometoimes when women assume they always get the raw deal. What about the guys?
It gets harder to bounce as you get older, all you can do is things that you enjoy doing, do things that make you feel good about yourself, take a wander up through the countryside "the farther removed from nature the farther one becomes removed from the ralms of true joy" as Bob the spotted terrier once said. The most profound canine in history I'd wager.
You have to be open to accept love and to give it (you don't sound ready) you have to accept you may end up looking foolish. Faint hearts etc.
If you're in the mood for a wallow try "Humble Me" by Norah Jones off her "Sunrise" album (there's not a bad track on it) should hit the spot.
Good luck for the future.

thanks everton

You're right. Maybe I am not ready. But thanks for that xx
Petal -believe me hun -you dont have the monopoly on being hurt .Pasta -sorry as well neither do you.

Its just whether you want to fester or get on -it took me a few years but my kids were young at the time but I certainly enjoyed MY time when i got it.

I have to say tho I wasnt comfortable with another mann in my life while their dad was there so often so I did mentally concede on that but that was for them.

Half the time I was having fun was with their old man -lol
wise words ,everton
