SKA - I've had this problem for years. Still single. You could try getting a cat AND a rabbit (real cat/battery powered rabbit). Although the cat falls down on the self-centred and boring thing (unless you get an unneutered tom and that's almost exactly the same as living with a bloke but smells marginally less).
