I want baby hubby doesn't!!
5 Answers
We already have a child who's just turned 4 and I am beginning to feel broody. I don't necessarily feel I want to try for a baby now but couldn't say I would never want another in the future. My problem is my hubby who is adamant beyond belief and very stubborn insists he does not and will not ever want a 2nd child. So what now? It wouldn't be fair to force him to have a baby and I would never trap him but then its not fair to me if I want another either. My other concern is that in the future I would like to further my career and become a midwife but wouldn't want to do all that training and then decide to have a baby so its really now or never. I am very confused and don't really know what I can do. Do any of you have any advice?

I would personally put the baby plans on hold until I had sorted out my career

I was adament that I was never going to have another baby after my first but then suddenly I was adament I did want one and now have the two. A couple of people who I know but dont see very often, see me pushing the parm and refused to believe she was mine because they knew how strong I was against having another! lol
What you need to think about is what is important to you now and in the future. You want a lot at the moment, career and new baby and it is possible to have it all but just take your time and have lots of patience. Decide what to concerntrate on first, personally I would go through the midwife training first. It may be easier to do it that way than have a baby first then do the training with two kids to look after.
During this time, mr tigwig may change his mind regarding having more children. Dont give up hope just yet, on anything :)

now we have discussed it I can't get these strong maternal feelings out of my mind. Its like something has been released!! I have been having dreams for weeks now where I am pregnant or had a baby and these have made me feel really happy. I think that deep down I only started to look into the midwife training to be with babies!! Even though I look after them at work. If I had to make a choice over baby or career right now it would defo be baby. I just don't know what to do now cos hubby still says no this morning, I 'll just have to hope he changes his mind. Although I am not that old at 31 he is 32 I wouldn't really want to wait much longer so the midwife training would have to be delayed by several years.
