I work for a corporate events company (although I don't think I'll be going back) Anyway, they do things I really do not agree with. For instance they were catering for a wedding. The bride and groom paid for a bottle of red wine, white wine and bottled water on each table. When the tables were cleared they re bottled the wine and sold it back to the guests, including the bride..!!!!

At a 3 day cricket event they also did the same and put the previous days bottles, refilled, back on the the tables. The same with the water.

How wrong is that?

It's just business. I'm not saying that I agree but it happens everywhere is this industry. Catering is one of the worst. I've seen all sorts of happenings that would make your hair curl.

I know it's just business but selling a bride wine at �2.70 a glass even though she'd already paid for it. That's morally wrong.

I agree. It is wrong, but I'll practically guarantee that if you went to work for a similar company the same thing would be happening, or even worse.

It's nowt new...Landlords watering-down beer & spirits. Organic veg that aren't. Free range eggs? The list is endless!

I recently worked for a decorating contractor. The customer specified Farrow & Ball paint ($50-00 for 5lt). The boss of the company had saved some F&B tins & refilled them Johnstons paint(�14-00 for 5lt). A tidy profit on 20 5lt tins!

ah carrust , when i was at the painting it was changing johnstones fence treatment for valtii stain.

the difference is a large drum costs 150 quid
fence treatment was a fiver a gallon

One on the radio last week..Don't eat salad garnishes in restaurants..they've probably come from a previous customers plate.

It is simply illegal.

The wine had already been sold to the bride.

The caterers then sold it again, when it did not belong to them.

If I sold your car, and kept the money, you might be upset.

If I sold your car to YOU, and kept the money, you might be even more upset.

It's not just the legal side. Would anyone want to drink water that has been sold, kept on a table all day, re bottled, refrigerated and put back out for 3 days on the trot.
