I work for a corporate events company (although I don't think I'll be going back) Anyway, they do things I really do not agree with. For instance they were catering for a wedding. The bride and groom paid for a bottle of red wine, white wine and bottled water on each table. When the tables were cleared they re bottled the wine and sold it back to the guests, including the bride..!!!!
At a 3 day cricket event they also did the same and put the previous days bottles, refilled, back on the the tables. The same with the water.
It's just business. I'm not saying that I agree but it happens everywhere is this industry. Catering is one of the worst. I've seen all sorts of happenings that would make your hair curl.
I recently worked for a decorating contractor. The customer specified Farrow & Ball paint ($50-00 for 5lt). The boss of the company had saved some F&B tins & refilled them Johnstons paint(14-00 for 5lt). A tidy profit on 20 5lt tins!
It's not just the legal side. Would anyone want to drink water that has been sold, kept on a table all day, re bottled, refrigerated and put back out for 3 days on the trot.
