if a girl still refers to a guy as her first love infront of her new boy friend..but she couldnt have a relationship with her first love because things didnt workout!does it mean she still have feelings for that guy or she's still in love with him because i find it strange to say something like that infront of someone you just started a new relationship with!!..how should the BF act??...please help ....

You're reading too much into this, most likely! It's not like she's saying "the love of my life".
Everyone had a first love, that doesn't mean we still love them now! however, they will always hold a special place for us, because, well....they were out first love!
Maybe you could tell her in a nice way that it makes you feel a bit awkward, but really, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Unless she mentions him at every opportunity, of course, in which case it would indicate she is not over him.

IMO it doesn't mean that she is still in love with him. Everyone will remember their first love. I remember mine and always will. But i also have no feelings for him anymore atall.
i must admit though, it is a bit insensitive to talk about him in front of a new boyfriend yes, but i wouldn't take it to heart. maybe she's so over it that she can easily talk about him without feeling anything?, so doesn't see it as a problem. Why don't you ask her, politly, how she feels about him now?

You have to remember she is refering to him as her 1st love...I take it your the boyfriend? She must have feelings for/love you otherwise she wouldnt be with ya!

Weve all had a 1st love, but I can tell you now, I love my partner more than I did him (the 1st one)......dont take it to heart, but if she keeps talking about him, be straight with her and tell her it makes you feel uncomfortable...HTH

My first love was a totally innocent crush on a boy at school. Nothing happened between us, I guess it was a crush more than love, but i would still think of him as such. However, I don't think that I would refer to him as that in front of my fiance' who is my real first LOVE!
