Why am i so horrible to my boyfriend?
7 Answers
For a couple of moths now, i have become uncharecteristically jealous and moody to my boyfriend. Whenever we go out in a social situation i start a fight without fail. It could be he is talking to another girl, or some other imagined misdemeanor, but it is happening weekly. Previously i was carefree and not jealous at all. Also, never had a problem with anger. Everything he does seems to upset me in some way and i know it is making him not want to hang out with me much, understandably. I cannot figure out if it could be because i came off the pill, or because i had been having work problems, or just if it is because my self esteem has taken a tumble. I want to be my happy nice old self - please help!!

Perhaps because my job has been so bad (i have just handed my notice in), maybe i feel a bit useless. I came off the pill beacuse i became pregnant and then went on to have an abortion (3 months ago) i am sure that this seems like the answer to the problem, but i really havent been feeling bad about it - maybe i am subconsciously upset? I dont know? I am 24
Thanks, 3bis.
Okay. It sounds like it could be depression - which is not surprising. Having an abortion can do that. Perhaps you ARE subconsciously upset even though you say you feel ok about it? But whatever the reason, I'd go to see your doctor & tell them what you've typed here. Cause it sounds like you need some outside help.
Obviously your BF can't help at this juncture as it could be you're subconsciously blaming him for getting you pregnant in the first place & YOU had to get the abortion.
Depression can make little things huge. It can make you see things incorrectly. It can destroy good things in your life.
Try & be a little less hard on yourself. And let your BF know what you're thinking also - he sounds bewildered.
Good luck. x
