If the nightclub scene just isn't your thing, what other scenarios are there in which you can be just as successful meeting girls/boys? (I'm not looking at online dating though, bit dodgy)

Perhaps even things like evening classes or hobbies, such as walking groups, running clubs or dance clubs, like Ceroc or Salsa. There are always loads of women at dance clubs looking for dance partners, as women tend to outnumber men.

Also volunteering can introduce you to lots of different people if you have a particular interest. Your local library or local council might have a list of organisations who are looking for volunteers,. Rotary Groups often have a younger social network where they meet together to raise money for good causes but also have a good social life as well. Book Reading groups, evening classes (especially those like carpentry or other DIY activities more likely to be attended by men.
You could also put an advert in your local paper suggesting a new social group for young people who are not interested in night clubbing if you're prepared to do a little organisation.

Why won't you try internet dating? I tried it for several months, I chated to lots of people, but if they weirded me out, I just didn't speak to them anymore...
I met my boyfriend online - funnily enough he only lived 20 minutes away from me, and our paths had crossed several time too! We have been together for over 2 years now :-)
