Redhelen welcome to the weight loss Onwards and Downwards. Well done for your weight loss. You did not say your present weight and how much you want to lose. You will lose quite a bit the first couple of weeks if you have a lot to lose and yes weight classes are good until you stop going that is when the trouble starts. You have to continue the good work .Jim said he lost then had to go back as he had gained. Xstitcher started this thread about June last year and I replied and have been here with her all the way and seen how easy it is to fall by the wayside with ourselves and others. I was 15 st 8lbs in June last year and aimed to lose 2 stone by Oct which I did then lost a few more but gained 3 lbs over xmas. I have struggled for weeks to get back on track and now I am aiming to get another stone off by end of May. Theotherhalf all I can say is be carefull and as you said do your best.I have gone all out now to lose for next wed been to asda made sure I have everything so as I don't need to wonder what I am having next day this is where the trouble starts and you are inclined to order that take a way for easyness. BOXTOPS that is exactly what I say I have lost 2 stone and theres no way it is going back on.See you all Wed with good results so Onwards and Downwards.
Sorry redhelen no offence the only thing I was trying to explain was that if you have a lot to lose it does come off fast to begin with then you slow down. Well done Tigger keep up the good work.
I would say all in all to get back to about just under 10 stone which I always use to be about years ago I would need to lose another 3 stone. So that was making me 5 stone overweight last year.now I am 13 9lbs.
I went from a size 22! to a size 12..it took a year. I am one of the lucky ones.I did the Gym work and managed to avoid the loose hanging skin syndrome!...except around the stomach area.....got a half moon flap there...any suggestions..apart from surgery?
Only problem with subscribing to the thread is that you keep getting emails. I look in regularly any way so don't really need them. We need an option to not receive emails if we don't need them Ed if you read this.
Noraq......highly unlikely you can get the over stretched skin on your abdomen to go back....really only option is surgery speak to your GP and ask for referral
You shouldn't get an email if you're viewing the thread - you should only get an email when someone posts and you're not looking at it. If you're receiving emails while still viewing the thread (i.e. it is on the page in front of you) then we need to look into it.
So are we going to get a sticky then as this thread is moving further down and would be hard to come across for new Abers looking for help and support in this section ?
The thing is spare Ed - I don't need to get emails as I check the thread periodically anyway. And I find it annoying to keep getting them. Especially when they come in after I've seen the post already as is often the case. As I said, I check the thread anyway. Even more annoying is getting an email to let me know when I've posted the on the thread. :-))) Jools
