I'm off on a big bike ride this weekend to make up for the terrible sins of:
1. Takeaway pizza
2. Pub burger
3. Beer
Anyone else repenting this weekend? It's been hard to get out in this muggy weather...

i made up this recipe myself,i carton low fat yogurt, frozen fruit(i used cherries) put in blender til you get the consistency you want,pour into a lidded container and put in the freezer for an hour,using a fork mix everything up again,in again for another hour and repeat with fork,thats you'''

Hi Fliptheswitch welcome to our small helpline and sharing ideas. What you have eaten today is not going to help you lose weight. You will have to stop on a regular healthy plan. We don't call it a diet .Have the odd treat when you want but don't cut down on proper meals. Just cut out the fat and the crap. There is no happy medium if you take it off too fast you will put it on twice as fast. Have plenty of fish and chicken and plenty veg. You can vary your chicken with small amout of various sauces. Xstitcher started this thread just over a year ago and I followed and last year regular lost 2 stone and 3 lbs but finding it hard this time to lose another stone but I will get there. Good luck for a weight loss next week. Onwards and Downwards
Hi Kate I agree with Xstitcher I think 9lbs is a lot to lose all at once if I remember right I think you said you were doing a lot of home made soups. That I will agree is good for you but you must have gone wrong somewhere this week to put so much back on but don't dispair we all do it and have to get back on track.

When you say "I'm going to loose weight" that is a dream and most likely will stay as a dream, but when you say I am going to loose xx lbs by the end of Oct. ect. you have set yourself a challange and will probably achieve the goal you have set for yourself.

Indeed Xstitcher, its much better to set goals that are realistic. Back in January I said to myself that I needed to lose 3st, which I have done. It took me 6 months which I think is a reasonable time to lose it in. Its better to do it at an easy / steady pace and that way you also re-train your eating habits as well.
Hi Wendilla, I had a bit of a bad week this week in that I had a fry-up twice from the canteen (Mon & Fri) and some of my homemade cheesecake but I added this to my calorie intake on the Food Focus website so I just reduced all my other food to accommodate them and I still managed to lose 1lb.

I'm so glad that our little club is helpful. It just started out as a moan about putting on weight but look at us now.
I think most of us agree that we don't diet, we change our eating habits for ever. We don't loose a lot of weight quickly but slowly and steadily is the right way to go and finally we keep faithful to our little club here so we can help the others. I probably forgot some important things so any additions are welcome. Onwards and downwards.

My scales went completely haywire this morning so I'm taking the reading closest to what I had last week and will conclude that I am just the same. One of the readings was +10 pounds from last week......I may have been a bit naughty but not that bad !! Hope it goes well for the rest of you.

Good morning all I have struggled again this week but have stayed the same weight I really must get my head around this and start eating properly again. this heat doesn't help me as I cant do as much walking as I would like to, but I go to Vitality exercise class once a week which is exercise and dance to music which I'm hoping will help me a bit. Still I'm hoping lots of salads will help.
