Afternoon!
I'm off on a big bike ride this weekend to make up for the terrible sins of:
1. Takeaway pizza
2. Pub burger
3. Beer
Anyone else repenting this weekend? It's been hard to get out in this muggy weather...

Another interesting article about grapefruit. I find if I stop having a glass each day I am inclined to eat things I shouldn't . It works for me but may not work for everyone Grapefruit is low in calories, low in sodium, high in potassium and high in fat burning enzymes benefiting weight loss in different ways. The low calories means you can eat grapefruit freely without consuming too many calories. A low sodium intake helps flush away excess water weight caused from high sodium foods. And, the enzymes present in grapefruit help increase fat burning.
Again please check if you are on medication.

Back from holiday - surprise!
I indulged last week on holiday in the sun - lots of bread, oil, butter, Brie, moules mariniere, a little wine - Oh , how I had been looking forward to this.
I hopped on my new digital scales this morning (thanks to all who gave me advice on these) and found that I was 2 pounds lighter. Thumbs up to the Mediterranean diet.
I just can't believe it.

Emigration, anyone?
Hi x
I did practically nothing on holiday, but I don't want to sound smug about it. I sunbathed, did some sightseeing, had a fabulous evening at the Bastille Day village party where we ate moules and paella followed by delicious cheeses, with as much wine as we wanted, etc., etc.
I just don't understand how I lost weight. What about us on this thread emigrating en masse to the Midi?

Well done, x.
My son (a GP) told me that a weight loss of 1 lb a week is a sensible aim. In that way, the weight stays off. I have reached and gone below target - the problem now is that I do not want to lose any more, but SW does not give any advice on this. Everything is directed towards weight loss.
I think this is something that needs to be addressed.
Keep it up (or should that be 'down')?

Well done Anniemollie and Xstitcher and I too have lost 2 lbs this week so I am def back on track. I don't even have the inclination to stray . I have just ate healthily and cut out the fat and crap and cut done on bread which is def my downfall.
ANNEMOLLIE DON'T go too far under your gaol weight .I would say the answer to you staying at your gaol is my still eating healthily and by having the odd treat when you feel like it . Just remember it is far easier to put weight on that it is to take it off. And yes it is best just to take the weight off slowly. These crash diets are no good . Onwards and Downwards we go again .

I take your point about regular weighing and not being complacent. Do you think there is a future for all us target weight people to form a club - maybe called SAT (Stay at target)? We could charge a weekly fee for weigh-ins and a motivational talk, swap recipes and clothes, have a few fashion shows, maybe nights/trips out, and extol the virtues of sensible eating and the odd binge (all this is a bit tongue-in cheek).
Millionaire status here we come.

Good morning all I hope you don't mind if I join you. I went to WW a while ago and managed to get to goal and then had an upset in my life and put it all on again plus, but have decided to go back and have managed to lose 4lb in 4 weeks so I'm feeling quite good but do need a bit of support so hope you don't mind me tagging along.
