Onwards And Downwards Continues In April 2013

Hello all,
I heard the other day that fat-free salad dressing is one of the biggest "No No's" you can eat, mainly because of all the extra stuff they put in to replace the fat!
So as we are almost heading into salad season (even if the weather doesn't quite agree yet) how about some low calorie salad dressing recipies or even some interesting salads that might not need dressing?
We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Thanks Wendilla. I bet you will have lost a pound by next Wednesday. You're so determined, and you're a brilliant support to everyone on here... so give yourself some of that support :-)

"Dreading" tomorrow. My intake hasn't been so bad really. Sure it is over what it should be, mainly due to weekends, but that has always been the case. However the scales are being pure viscous this week. Today was the first day I went down slightly from a continuous rise every blooming day since the 9th :-(
BACKTALK thank you for your input. Yes works with quite a few but quite a few of our ladies on here have disabilities and some are not able to do excersises. This post has been running my xfactor and myself for 2 years and it is good for ideas from others that we can try. We try to suppor t one another. We don't class it as a diet as such but try and keep to healthy eating.
I know I will get there, I the closer I get to me target weight the harder the weight is to shift.
This is my recent chart showing my weight coin up and down over the last few days

xstitcher, I like the day to day weighing, it keeps me motivated, I know some people suggest only weighing once a week but I find it better to weigh daily, I think its a personal thing, seeing the peaks drive me and seeing the troughs convince me i'm doing something right lol. and as long as that red line keeps going down hill i'm happy :-)
At last that last stubborn pound has dropped and I can say I've lost a stone :)
Re weighing - are you doing it at the same time of day? I find I'm usually at my lightest in the morning before breakfast. Also try and have your scales in the same place. I often weigh myself on different days, but my official day is Tuesday morning. Wednesday is usually my lightest day though, so if the loss disappears at that point, I know to redouble my efforts.

I'm sure you have a point wend. If I don't get 2 readings identical at first, I try again and again until I get 3 consecutive identical ones, or I give up for the day. But that said I don't believe the consistent rise day after day this week can just be put down to the scales. But I have to blame something !
I've had a quick look at my average intake for the week and as expected I didn't hit the goal; but that has always been the case. 5 days a week I am around where I should be even if I'm a bit over much more often than a bit under, and then the weekend, when I don't really have the same level of control, it goes a little haywire. That hasn't changed.
Bit if a downer really, it seems I have to go on a harsh regime of denial to drop further. I don't recall this sort of issue last time I lost weight.

I've just noticed I've got best answer, thanks Ab Editor. I knew Wendilla would lose something this week. Well done Wendilla! I've gone up half a pound. I've been eating biscuits and chocolate, but I thought I was compensating for it by having smaller evening meals, but apparently that doesn't work. Well done also to Ratter and Taichi. Never mind Xstitcher and Old Geezer, good luck for next week. OG you seem to monitor your intake really well and try so hard, so maybe it's not your fault that you're not losing. You could ask your doctor. I remember I mentioned underactive thyroid to you before, that is what I have, but you said you definitely didn't have that one. Before I was put on the thyroxine tablets I was putting on weight because of the condition.
Hi Taich well done .And next week you hope to see that needle go under the stone mark.
Marijn biscuits are my downfall but I think I may have my good fairy head on instead of the devil. I am going Asda this afternoon and I will bye pass the biscuit aisle. I am not rewarding myself yet with a choc. from the unopened box. I was trying to remember what your name was before you changed it. As I know you have been with us quite a while.
