Onwards And Downwards Continues In September 2013

Hello all,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
Well we were lucky with the weather this summer weren't we? So I hope loads of tasty salads made it into your day. Now we are heading into autumn the kids are going back to school and for some this means a thankful return to no tempting snacks in the house.
But sometimes you just need a little something to keep you going until dinner so how about some ideas for healthy snacks (thanks again xstitcher) to fight the cravings and keep us on track.
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

For a snack I sometimes have half a bag of snack a jacks mini bites. I prefer the savoury flavours, chilli ones are good and the sour cream flavours. Availability of flavours varies from shop to shop. Morrisons had lots when I was in there, but our local Sainsburys have less variety. i can't risk trying the sweet ones as I'm fighting and nearly winning the battle of the sweet tooth.

Thanks Xstitcher and Wendilla. I'm the lightest I've been for ages because I went to visit my sister in law in California and it was so hot out there (100 degrees), that I didn't feel like eating. I'm glad to be home away from those temperatures, I just hope I don't start putting the weight back on. Also, I was drinking loads of water out there, because of the heat, so maybe that's the answer.
I've been away for a few days and wasn't too hopeful for this week's weigh in, but I have lost 2lbs. Yeh! I was reasonably careful despite eating out over the weekend. I stuck to smaller portions and went for side salad instead of chips plus I walked quite a bit as we were out each day. A reminder to myself now I'm back to work is to walk and walk some more at lunchtimes.
