Well done Jomlett, wendilla and Maydup. Have you noticed that it is a long time since we have had the naughty step out? This proves that we have successfully intergrated our new eating habits into our lives which is quite a feat! You should all be VERY proud of yourselves!! !

Just made two readings, both in the "I refuse to believe that" area, so not being recorded again.
Read the teletext this morning to read that, according to experiments with mice, the body needs a daily twelve hour fast in order to switch on fat burning processes. And there was I thinking that breakfast was supposed to be the most important meal of the day. Knocks that on the head then.

Down to 82.9 kilos this morning so I can say I've lost 13 kilos this year. That's 2 stone that I don't want to see again! Trouble is, doing the full length mirror test: Jump up and down naked and see the fat! - I definitely need to lose another stone! That would be nearer my ideal weight.
I'm enjoying the lo-carb diet and after auntie mentioned the longterm effect of same, I checked and any extra activity, anyone will, of course, need more carbs for fuel, and there are borderline foods listed for slowing down the diet/needing extra energy. Since retirement I'm enjoying less activity: reading, writing and avoiding arithmetic, so onward and downward for me!

Yay, this is the sort of advice I was looking for :-D

Yes I do feel different. I have my hair different, and I wear make up most days too. I have another couple of stones to lose I think but I'm expecting the rate at which I lose to drop right down. I lost my first two stones in 5 weeks, then I went on holiday for two weeks, then got straight back on it and lost another one and a half stones in the next 8 weeks, then went on holiday again for two weeks. I came home two weeks ago and in that time I have lost another 3lbs. I have no secret, but I did used to drink beer a lot and I love to bake. So I've given both of them up (I do drink on holiday and have every intentions of doing so at Christmas) for the time being.
