Hello all,
Sorry it is so late.
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
I hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather and getting out there.
Seasonal goodies for July include cherries, cucumber, apricots and loads of other yummy fruits and veggies.

Many of these can be eaten by themselves as a tasty snack or you can mix them up as a salad.
Here is a yummy looking tabbouleh salad:

Or how about runner beans and bacon:

Hello,Teich and welcome back . Yes it is so easy to gain and we don't think about it until we experience what you are describing . Plan your meals for the week so that you don't run out of things and eat all the wrong things again .imam sure you don't need me to tell you so good luck for next Wednesday weigh in .
Sandy have you lost that by changing what you eat . Write everything down and make sure you plan you menus for the week .
Og not a big gain but going the wrong way . Weekends seem to be your downfall .

They are indeed but I expect them to be issues. The problem is the other 5 days which aren't compensating enough, and sometimes also goes the wrong way. Not helped by the kindness of someone who cooks far too much for Sunday evening meal, gives each of us a double portion worth that evening, and gives me the rest to have Monday (which tends to be Monday & Tuesday). Still, worth it ;-)
Going to be more responsible for the whole 5 day week soon. Trouble is whenever I've freedom to eat what and when I like the whole day I slip into, wanting something but not a meal yet; and end up snacking on the wrong things. (No fruit doesn't cut it.) Must get a good routine going and ensure things improve.
Well done Sand.

Hello all, good to be back! I realise I have been AWOL for most of the month. Put that down to either being away on holiday, or having post holiday denial!
But here I am, back on track with a no gain, no loss outcome. Phew.
The warm weather lent itself to salads and fruit, how I've enjoyed the berries this year. Now we have apricots in season which are so lovely and easy to eat. Also feasting on dwarf and broad beans from the garden, small portion of new potaotes, all of which make up for the few naughties that holidays allowed.
Good to see all again, and thanks for being here. Onwards and downwards.
