Good morning!

Sorry for the delay on this one. Naturally, I have been working on perfect valentines treats that are not only delicious, but postable and mysterious, and this has taken up all my time.

Anyone expecting to be over-indulged over the coming week? Or is it oysters on ryvita?

I've also been trying something called a "slow carb" diet, mainly as a way to avoid being hungry. It's quite good and can recommend building a few of the "beans and greens" rules into your own meal plans a couple of times a week. It's especially good for days after a bit of a treat, where you can be a little too hungry.

How are you getting on?

Thank you both for your kind words. Motivation? After a few months off the bike I was unable to cycle a fairly non description hill near where I live that I'd always manged previously. I then realised I had to do something.
At the time I had just ordered some 44 inch waist jeans from eBay as they had none in the shops.
Today, I wear 36 inch jeans and they're getting looser literally by the week! Come the summer I'll ramp up the frequency on the bike and go from there.

Gosh. At 17 stone and a 36" waist you must have a much better silhouette than I. Are you sure it isn't all muscle ?
That is he perfect way to do it chilldoubt when you realise you have to do something about it .It is the same with smoking .I gave up when my first grandson was born .I had tried and tried but could not do it .Then when he was born I said to myself I had to stop as I want to see him grow up .That was nearly 20 years ago and I have never looked back . It was so easy to give it up as I had something to do it for .
Ha ha, wish it was OG, I'd be built like Johnny Bravo! I'll have to join one of these picture websites and post some pixelated pictures of myself. I wear a chunky neck chain. 3 years ago it looked like it was choking me. It's now decidedly slacker!
Anyone recommend a good site for the pics? I'll try and post them tonight if not too busy.
tiny pic so easy for posting pics to here .
Thanks wendilla, I'll have a mooch later.

Maybe one of the techies can sort it?

I think that's fixed it!
Wow...that's amazing Chill.
Thanks ummmm.
The pics keep me motivated to keep it off.
That's fantastic Chill, what an achievement.
I bet it does. Maybe more dieters should do the same to keep their motivation up.

When I used to use the gym on a regular basis I was told to only weigh myself once a week, same day, same scales, after the mornings bathroom visit, and that is as accurate as you'll get. So I think OG is going about things all wrong...
Poor OG we were always after him for this but he's been a faithful follower here for about 3 1/2 years and can't be changed. Just like my hubby haha.

WOW. Your photos Chill prove that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well done you.
Thank you Islay and xstitcher.
Roll on the summer!

CD - that's really impressive.

I can't wait for the evenings to lighten up so I can get back on the bike. It is magic how much you can lose by riding!
