I wouldn't be without my slow cookers, use them loads of the time I have cheap night rate electricity so I often put one on overnight with a casserole, or curry by the morning its done. I also do rice pudding, sugar free with skimmed milk in the small one. Just sprinkle some cinnamon and chopped fruit on it at the end. I also made a rich fruit cake in my old one, but obviously cake isn't an option at the moment
I have been struggling sometimes when I miss Dave so much it's easier just to eat until I want to sleep. I start each day with good intentions and then I think to myself why bother. I do tell myself because I have a new life to go on with but I underestimated how hard it would be. Oh well carry on regardless, I know it will get better eventually.
You really have a lot to deal with Rowan but try and keep positive even though escaping such sad thoughts must be impossible. Could you try and say to yourself that sad is normal but it doesn’t mean eat and a 'treat' is definitely not going to take your mind off your loss. You must let yourself grieve otherwise it will never let you get on with your life. Just don’t put grieving and eating in the same box. Even though what I say might not help, we are here to support you and I think you are doing are wonderful job. You really threw yourself into it feet first and your progress has been something I always look forward to hearing about. You have the mojo and don’t worry about a hiccup now and then. Keep up the good work!
morning . over two weeks and still the same but ok with that , Just need a few lbs to go . Menus all written out for coming week so watch this space .
Yes rowan you are doing well .You have your good days and bad days but as xstitcher says just set a small goal at a time . better to take your time than try and do it to fast .

Mixed results for us this week then. Have to say I'm slipping up again, but over the week and over the last 24 hours according to the scales. Have no intention of saying how much because I'm not sure I believe it anyway. In fairness though, there's not one day I achieved goal, and it brings home the lack of control I have at present. Fingers crossed for next week.
