moving to spain

Hi, me and my hubby with 2 small kids r looking at buying a property to redevelop and move into as a family home, with no mortgage.
Are we still entatiled to claim any benefits ie child benefit/ tax credits whilst living in spain?
Also are we allowed to stay there indefinately, or is there a time limit? Many thanks! sheri.

Any UK citizen has the right to live and work (indefinitely) in any of the 27 EU member states.

To claim tax credits and child benefit you have to be present and ordinarily resident in the UK so if moving abroad permanently you will lose these.

Child benefit and tax credits are not payable to non uk residents.

so if i go abroad i cant continue collecting my kids child benefits, or their child tax credits.. but if other europeans come here they can???

Correct they are resident you won't be what a wonderful country this is !!!
