My Ex-Girlfriend owes me money.
My ex-girlfriend owes me in the region of 500 from various things but mainly from 2 months worth of rent and bills that I paid for her when she could not afford to do so. I am just wondering whether I have good enough evidence to go to the small claims court to retrieve the money. I would pay for both our rent and bills by cheque and give the money to my other housemate who would write all the money down in his diary. I would verbally tell him that I was paying for my own and for her rent/bills. I would also write down the amount I paid in my cheque book for reference. After we split up, she sent me a cheque for half or what she owed me (250) but it bounced, however, the cheque was sent back to me.
Do I have a good enough claim to get my money back at all. Any help would be appreciated as she has been ignoring me over the whole issue.
Cheers.

Hi,
I've filed a claim with the small claim court now, but I have heard nothing from her at all. I wouldn't be suprised if she doesn't reply to this claim at all cos she is stupid! What are the procedures if she does not reply within the 14 days allowed? She has moved house recently so I have had to put her work address down for the claim, although I am 90% sure of where she is staying now.
Also, she may be moving back home, which is abroad but I don't know when she is gonna to be moving. Will this affect my claim if she moves abroad before the 14 days are up?
