I have had my credit report and on it is an outstanding Orange mobile bill balance of 747 dated back to 2002 I noticed it on my file last year and contacted Orange and send bank statements showing "missing amounts" I was assured that it had been their error and they in fact owed me 1p! As it is still on my file I have contacted Orange again and they now say I do owe this money and it had been passed on to a debt collecting agency back in 2003 Orange are not able to send me any of the mobile bills - shredded after 2 years and have only an invoice to show me - which is basically a load of amounts which means nothing to me!!! I thought this was sorted last year and although i have ext no and times and names of who I spoke with last year I do not have anything in writing. Today they told me they are writing to me asking for the full amount. My concerns are:- 1. If they have no proof of the bills should I argue it with them - how can i pay for something they have no real proof of 2. Bank statements show the missing amounts they wanted last year - now they are saying its not the payments they were looking for! 3. If I ignore it will it disappear or have i dragged it up again! I have not heard from Orange since MARCH 2007 I contacted them this time round. Sorry to babble just really annoyed - they forget it is costing me in calls to them and time!
