i am currently receiving contribution based job seekers allowance,my 97 year old mother recently died and all the funeral expense is down to me ,as the only living reative,are there any grants available to me to help with the cost of the funeral.

The funeral is expected to be paid for out of your mother's assets, if she had any.
People on Contribution based JSA rarely get any support other than the weekly JSA payment. If you have a low income and get Income based Job Seekers allowance you have more chance. If you have savings this may affect whether you get support
