I've just read that this gentleman's personal fortune is estimated at 2 BILLION.   While not really wanting to get into a political debate, by my rough calculation he must be pocketing [after tax] 1 MILLION per WEEK in interest alone.

Apart from growing old gracefully????????.....what on earth does he do with it??

His personal fortune is likely to be largely comprised of property and shares in companies rather than cash in a savings account that he can spend freely.
Even with a lot of shares, you can opt not to receive cash for the dividend and instead have them paid to you in more shares.
If he's good at making money then he probably keeps liquid assets (cash) to a minimum.

OK.....but what sort of lifestyle does he lead in comparison to mere mortals who would be set up for life with a reasonable win on the lottery?
The amount of wealth held by very rich people is really about a physical testament to their success, rather than being "filthy-rich". Self-made business people usually have incredible drive and determination, coupled with a willingness to take huge risks. The money they make is the reward for those risks. Whether they spend it or not is irrelevant.
Andy008 - you pompous twit!

Snoteater, this site is for people to give constructive answers to peoples queries.  Sometimes you may not agree with the answers or comments given.  That's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's a good thing we have different views on certain matters, it certainly gives me food for thought when someone gives a different aspect on a controversial subject.  Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same!

However, this site could do without the personal insults you seem so happy to throw about.  The ability to accept a different viewpoint comes with a certain level of maturity, hopefully you'll reach that level soon.
